CURRENT ISSUES

THOMAS TALLIS SCHOOL
As part of the Kidbrooke Regeneration programme, the existing school in Kidbrooke Park Road is to be rebuilt on a site to the north of its present playing fields, adjacent to those used by the Blackheath High School for Girls. During the summer of 2006, the school, supported by Creative Partnerships London South, was involved in a process of consultation with its stakeholders - staff, pupils and the local community - to develop plans for the replacement school building. Architects, John McAslan and Partners, have been appointed to take the school development programme forward. The Society's detailed response can be read by downloading the word document HERE.

At a recent Planning Board meeting, approval was given for the new Thomas Tallis School and it is hoped that the new school will open in the Autumn term 2009.
