THE PHOTOGRAPHIC LIBRARY

The Blackheath Society holds a huge library of photographic records of the Blackheath area going back over 100 years. If you are curious as to whether there are any images of your house, or office, or church, or road, do please call the Secretary on 020 8297 1937 who would be pleased to arrange for you to access the records. It is not possible for you to take any of the images away but if you wish a copy to be made, the Society can arrange for a digital image to be created for which a charge will be levied. Copyright of the image remains the property of the photographer unless previously assigned to the Society. Permission will be sought before the  reproduction of an image is undertaken.

The Photographic Library would not exist without the dedication of Neil Rhind MBE our local historian and author, who over several decades, has gathered together the many images that we hold. We are also grateful to various people who have in the past donated images for our records and we are always pleased to receive other such images if you would like to find a good home for them.
